Dr. Dali Liu is currently an Associate Professor in, Dept Chem & Biochem, Loyola University Chicago. He got his B.S degree from Wuhan University in 1992 and PhD from University of Oklahoma in 2001. He continued his postodoctoral training in Southwestern Medical Center and Brandeis University till he became an Assistant Professor in 2010 in Loyola University Chicago. Dr. Liu’s research group primarily employs X-ray crystallography in combination with mechanistic, biological and computational methods to study proteins involved in bacterial infections and other human diseases. His research evolves around determining key protein structures that are mechanistically informative on biochemical processes and aims to apply this knowledge to discover novel antimicrobial methods and conduct structure-based drug design.
