A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory ofDr. Wen Tangat The Ohio State University. Tang’s group is interested in understanding the mechanisms involved in formation and function of non-coding RNAs. His team is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with interests in RNA biology and epigenetics. This position is best suited for individual who loves both laboratory and computational research.
Dr. Tang’s lab is affiliated with Department of Biological Chemistry and Pharmacology, Department of Molecular Genetics, and the Center for RNA Biology. All three departments are committed to promoting collaborative research environment, and supporting basic, translational and clinical research. Essential qualifications
The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree and be a recent graduate. The candidate should have strong research background in molecular biology, genetics or related fields, and provide evidence of scientific productivity. Experience in mentoring students/trainees and strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience withc. elegansculture or microinjection is desired. Experience with design, execution, and bioinformatic analysis of deep sequencing studies is also highly desirable.
