1.Position
Media development R&D China: Analytical research specialist
Location
Beijing/China
Purpose of the role
Within the Media development R&D China group, you will be primarily responsible for analysis platform, including metabolism analysis (such as amino acids, vitamins) & protein attributes analysis (N-glycan profile, charge variants, integrity, purity, etc), to support CHO process development to match the target yield and protein quality .
Responsibilities
• Perform all analytical activities associated with process development
• Optimize or develop analytical methods to generate high quality results
• Tech transfer in/out of analytical methods to customer site
• Accountable for completing the assigned task in a timely manner
• Maintenance of lab facility, equipment and technical improvements
• Document data/results according compliance, such as GLP
• Effective communication of data/results through written documentation and oral presentation
Requirements
A master degree or higher in biotechnology or chemistry
1-3 years of experience in protein purification, chromatographic or capillary electrophoresis analysis
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Fluent spoken and written English is a plus

Media Development R&D China: Cell culture research specialist

Purpose of the role
Within the Media development R&D China group, you will be primarily responsible for CHO process development, including cell culture, media development, and process development from small scale to mid-scale to match the target yield and protein quality (glycan, charge variant, etc.,).
Responsibilities
• Perform all activities associated with mammalian cell culture and process development
• Accountable for completing the assigned task in a timely manner
• Maintenance of lab facility, equipment and technical improvements
• Document data/results according compliance, such as GLP
• Effective communication of data/results through written documentation and oral presentation
• Support analytical methods development and recombinant protein characterization
• Support tech transfer of developed projects into customer site
Requirements
• A BS/MS degree in Biological Science, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology
• 1-3 years’ hands on experience running cell culture and/or fermentation and have proven expertise in area of study
• Previous experience in process development and optimization using statistical tools (DOE) is desirable
• Fluent spoken and written English is a plus
