Job Description
A post-doctoral fellow position is immediately available in the
Department of Epigenetics and Molecular Carcinogenesis,
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The
successful applicant will join an interdisciplinary team to
develop high-throughput functional screen platforms using CRISPR Cas9
or dCas9 systems, and to apply the platforms for the studies
of cancer epigenetics and drug discovery. The candidate must
have a recent Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D in biomedical science, preferably
in biochemistry or molecular biology. The candidate must have
a first-authored publication in a highly regarded scientific journal,
demonstrated ability of independent research, and proven
proficiency in written and spoken English. Experience and
knowledge in CRISPR techniques, high-throughput sequencing, or epigenetics will be an advantage.
This position is located at the Science Park campus in Smithville,
Texas, and will be co-supervised by Dr. Han Xu
(http://faculty.mdanderson.org/Han_Xu/) and Dr. Xiaobing Shi
